Partnerships

HWC strives to partner with organizations that positively contribute to the culture, education and heritage of the Hispanic community as well as organizations whose efforts have a positive impact on the community.

"Distinguished Hispana Achievement Award"

In Fall 2007 the Coalition of Hispanic Women's Organizations, made up of the Hispanic Women's Council, Las Mujeres de Lulac, Mana de Albuqerque, and Mana del Norte paid tribute to one of the nation's most accomplished Latinas, Dr. Mari-Luci Jaramillo.

Dr. Jaramillo, a member of HWC, was honored at a Black-Tie event for her life-time achievements and her committment to the community.

Other partnerships include:

HWC partnered with the National Hispana Leadership Institute to bring the Latina Empowerment conference to Albuquerque

HWC along with three other Latina organizations were part of the Distinguished Hispanic Achievement Award committee that honored Chief Justice Petra Maes

HWC worked with Lions International in providing used eyeglasses for their organization

HWC has sponsored La Compania de Teatro Women's Voices Series Plays

HWC has co-sponsored "El Cristo de Los Flamencos" produced by HWC member Theresa Cardenas as a benefit for HWC
